Card 79 of 82

Silence

Silence fell, and after a few moments she died.

Solution: A blind tightrope walker performs acrobatic stunts at great height. According to the script, she was to jump off the rope exactly when the musician stopped playing. That day the musician felt unwell and suddenly lost consciousness. The music stopped, the tightrope walker jumped too early and plunged to her death.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
