Twisted Tales

Card 74 of 82

Lost

Jack goes hiking with his compass. After a long walk he stops to eat something but, when he finishes, he can't find the way back.

Solution: Jack was a scientist working near the North Pole. He set off walking north and stopped to eat right at the North Pole. When he tried to go back, he had no idea which way to go, because from the North Pole every direction is south.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
