Sad Sally

Sally was sleeping when Jack woke her. She went to the door and found a letter. She read it and began to cry. She now knew that her boyfriend would never see her again. Why?

Solution: Sally's boyfriend had recently had eye surgery. Jack, her boyfriend's guide dog, woke her after the postman delivered a letter. It was from the doctor's, in response to her boyfriend's medical tests, and confirmed that the surgery had been unsuccessful and that he would now be completely blind.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
