Card 70 of 82

The Pharmacy Robbery

A man walks into a pharmacy and runs out with the money from the till. The pharmacist calls the police station and, minutes later, a police officer recovers the money and takes the man away. That same afternoon the three of them go to the police station to report a robbery.

Solution: The man was the pharmacist's son. His car had been stolen and he had a very important exam. He had gone to ask his mother for taxi money. She called her husband, a police officer, to take their son to the exam. As the son no longer needed the taxi money, he gave it back to his father. In the end the three of them went together to report the theft of the car.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
