Card 66 of 82

Time for Bed

A woman is watching a film. Suddenly she hears lots of explosions and people shouting outside. Then silence falls. The woman turns off the television and goes to sleep.

Solution: It was New Year's Eve. The explosions were firecrackers and fireworks, and the shouting was celebration. The woman waited until everyone had finished celebrating and then went to bed.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
