Card 61 of 82

A Thief

A man stole a wallet. This caused his death. What happened?

Solution: Inside the wallet was a card stating that its owner opposed blood transfusions and organ transplants for religious reasons. The thief later had an accident, and a blood transfusion would have saved his life, but the doctors, finding the card on him, did not give him one.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
