Card 5 of 82

The Top Students' Class

A man inspecting a school notices that every time a teacher asks a question, many students are ready to answer. Each time the teacher picks a different student, and the answer is always correct.

Solution: The teacher told the students to raise a hand for every question. If they knew the answer, they had to raise their right hand; otherwise, their left. That way the teacher could always pick from among the students who knew the answer.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
