The Last Taxi

Oscar was sitting reading his newspaper when he heard a noise. When he realized what had happened, he bitterly regretted not having caught the taxi in time. Shortly afterwards, he killed himself.

Solution: Oscar was broke. He collected miniature model cars and, to solve his money problems, was going to sell his most valuable one. He had been cleaning it and did not put it down on the table properly. When he sat down and began to read, he heard it fall off the table. He could not catch it in time before it smashed on the floor.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
