Card 39 of 82

Death in the Park

A woman was found dead in the park. The policeman called her brother and asked him to come to the crime scene to identify the body. As soon as he arrived, he was arrested.

Solution: The policeman had forgotten to tell the brother where they were. When the brother went straight to the spot, the policeman realized that only the murderer himself could know where the crime had taken place.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
