Card 35 of 82

Three Dead Men

Three dead men are sitting at a table in a room. On the table there are playing cards and a gun. What happened?

Solution: Two of the men shot themselves in the head, and the third suffocated. The room is in a submarine lying motionless on the sea bottom. The men had a gun with only two bullets. When there was very little air left, they decided to gamble: the winners got the right to shoot themselves, and the loser had to suffocate slowly, in the company of two corpses.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
