Deadly Dinner

A woman plans to kill her husband at dinner. However, while she is preparing it, she kills herself.

Solution: The woman wanted to kill her husband by poisoning dinner with some pills she kept in her handbag. When she went to take them she found they were gone: her young son had taken them, thinking they were sweets. When she realized, she took her own life.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
