The Mysterious Key

Every night before going to sleep, Lisa locks the door of her house and attaches the key to a string. Why?

Solution: Lisa was a sleepwalker. Some days before, she had left the house in the middle of the night without realizing. To prevent it happening again, each night she tied the key by a string to a bell. That way, if Lisa tried to leave the house, her husband would wake up and take her back to bed.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
