An Open Door

When Martin woke up that morning, he was surprised to see the door open. As soon as he crossed the threshold, he was beheaded.

Solution: Martin was a canary who had lived in his cage for four months. Sylvester, a cat, had been waiting for a chance to catch him. When their owner accidentally left the cage door open, Martin flew out and Sylvester bit off his little head.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
