No Light

A man woke up at night feeling thirsty. Afterwards he turned off every light and went back to bed. In the morning he woke up, looked out of the window and screamed. Soon after, he killed himself.

Solution: The man was a lighthouse keeper. By accident he had turned off the lighthouse, which caused several shipwrecks. When he woke up, he realized what he had done.
How to play

Twisted Tales is a game of lateral thinking. Each card is a strange, usually macabre situation, and your group has to work out what really happened.

  1. Pick one player as the Game Master (the Narrator). Only the Game Master looks at the screen.
  2. The Game Master reads the prompt on the card out loud, then privately reads the solution using "Show solution".
  3. Everyone else asks questions to piece together the story.
  4. The Game Master may only answer "Yes", "No" or "Irrelevant" (when the question is a dead end).
  5. Keep asking and discussing theories until someone reconstructs the key events. Then the Game Master reads the full solution aloud.
  6. Use "Next" and "Back" to move between cards. You always start from the prompt.
